Photo Essay

Cydni Klauss focuses on the road on the way to Ashland, OR on Friday, May 3, 2013. Rotting Souls, a Tualatin-based punk band was scheduled to play a show the next day.

On a sunny and clear Saturday, May 4, purple flowers and huge houses line the Ashland foothills. 

Fatty Ding-Dongs, the hamster, makes friends at Aaron Klauss' apartment on Siskiyou Boulevard.

A group of Ashlanders walks along Siskiyou Blvd. to the Great American Pizza Company after receiving news that the show had been cancelled. "GAPCo" is one of the most popular pizza restaurants in Southern Oregon.

How the band packed the car for the ride home on Sunday, May 5. This left plenty of room for a comfortable ride up front.

Stranded. After the van broke down, Max Casey poses on a train in Cottage Grove, about two hours away from home.

Homeward bound! The van gets loaded onto a tow truck after waiting three hours for it to arrive. The legroom in the tow truck was less than desirable.
