8x10 Print

My first 8x10 print ever.

This picture of Hades eating a mouse has been my favorite photo all year.

First Project

This was our first test to find creative things and open our eyes a little bit.

California King Snake, Hades, with a baby mouse halfway into its mouth

Sun coming through the biggest tree in my backyard

Just a simple picture of my backyard looking out onto the high school property

Motion Blur Project

The point of this project was to set a long enough exposure to create a blur and still get a fascinating picture. I have to say, it was the most challenging project yet.

This is me playing drums. Only my head and arms are blurry.

This picture is barely blurry, but it definitely defines me a little bit.

This is just a simple faucet running water into a pot. I noticed a cool pattern of bubbles when I was cooking and decided that I could make a cool picture out of it.

Multiple Exposure

In this project, we were supposed to set our cameras to 800 iso even though we were using 400 iso film. This only exposed the film to half of the amount of light. Then we were to rewind the film and feed it back through and expose the other half.

First: My backyard
Second: My dog, Meg

First: Tualatin River
Second: My camera

First: Looking up a pine tree
Second: Banana slug on the ground

Landscape Project

The purpose of this project was not only to take pictures of landscapes, but also to contrast from and strategically place the horizon in the photos. It was also supposed to kind of avoid man-made structures. All of these photos were taken with a bright, white sky.

Ok, man-made and blurry. It was still one of my favorites from  the roll.

Also a little blurry. I liked the sheep in it though.

Although this doesn't have a horizon, I liked this one the best. The sun/shadows make for an interesting photo.

This is my favorite picture that followed the guidelines exactly. I feel stereotypical as a photographer taking pictures of meadows though.

This photo and the next were taken in front of a mirror

Tilt Shift Project

In this project, we were supposed to take pictures at a downward angle. Then, we were told to put it into Photoshop with the Lens Blur effect to make it look similar to a picture of toys. I went to downtown Portland to get an idea for some pictures.

Pinhole Cameras

We took pictures using paint cans with holes in them. They come out negative at first.
